Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and once you've played, you'll quickly understand why.
It combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis into a game that's easy to learn, highly social, and surprisingly addictive. The court is smaller than a tennis court, the paddle is lightweight, and the ball moves at a pace that makes rallies enjoyable for players of all ages and abilities.Most people are comfortably playing and having fun within their very first session. Absolutely.
In fact, many of our members had never heard of pickleball before attending their first session. Our Learn to Play sessions are specifically designed for beginners, and our community is incredibly welcoming and supportive.
You don't need any prior experience, special skills, or sporting background. We'll teach you the basics, explain the rules, and help you get involved from the moment you arrive.Not at all.
We have paddles available for first-time players and beginners to borrow, so you can simply book a session and turn up.
All Learn to Play sessions include complimentary paddle hire, making it easy to give pickleball a try without needing to purchase any equipment.
For players attending Social Hits, Competition Nights, casual play, or private court hire, paddles are available to hire for $5 per session if you don't have your own.
If you decide pickleball is for you, our team can also help guide you towards the right paddle and equipment based on your playing style, skill level, and budget. We stock a range of quality paddles and accessories and are always happy to help point you in the right direction.
Many players start with a hire paddle before purchasing their own, so don't let not having equipment stop you from getting on the court and giving pickleball a go.Warragul Pickleball Club is located at Brooker Park, Warragul.
To access the courts, head to the laneway beside 63 Charles Street, Warragul, which will lead you to a small car park. From there, follow the path to the left and you'll find the courts.
There is parking available near the venue, with additional street parking available if required.
If it's your first visit, we recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to allow time to find the courts, check in, and have a quick warm-up before your session begins.
We'll also include directions and arrival information in your booking confirmation email to help make your first visit as smooth as possible.
As our courts are outdoors, weather can occasionally affect play.
If conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, we may need to cancel or postpone a session. We will make a decision as early as possible and communicate any changes via email, SMS, and social media.
Unless you hear from us, please assume your session is going ahead as scheduled.
If you choose not to attend due to weather concerns and we have not officially cancelled the session, your booking will be forfeited and standard cancellation policies will apply.
If WPC cancels a session due to weather or unsafe court conditions, you will receive a credit for your booking which can be used towards a future session.
We always aim to provide as much notice as possible, however weather conditions can change quickly, and participant safety will always be our priority.Yes.
Our courts are available for private hire and can be booked on an hourly basis. Whether you're looking for a casual hit with friends, a family gathering, work function, team-building event, sporting group session, school program, or community event, we've got you covered.
